Hey dudes, Celestail recommended me to these forums I won't go into too much detail (mainly not to bore you) but I'm planning a TC for GTA 4 called "Heartland", which features:
*Intimidating Punks!
*Tacky split-level houses!
*A Scottish lunatic!
*A town in Western Maryland to wreak havoc on!
If you're interested in helping me with this mod (I'm trying to learn 3D Modelling), add me on skype and we can get to business (my skype name is the same as my username here)

Unfortunately ,I don't have GTA 4 but may be somebody else could help you..

Can someone make some CLEO scripts for me?
I want GTA IV style loading screens for GTA SA. I have all the textures you may need.
IDEA:
Make a CLEO file, say ivloading.cs which is connected to a txd file in GTA_SA/models/txd folder. Name of txd file will be ivloading.txd in which all the character textures with alpha will exist.
The LOADSCS.txd will have all the backgrounds.
The ivloading.cs will move the images in ivloading.txd as the game loads.
I want GTA IV style loading screens for GTA SA. I have all the textures you may need.

Idea: You make 3 pedgrp.dat and 3 cargrp.dat files: the original, another one with Vagos replacing Grove and Grove replacing Vagos, and finally you do the same with ballas. You call them for example: pedgrp.dat/cargrp.dat and pedgrp2.dat/cargrp2.dat and pedgrp3.dat/cargrp3.dat. Now we go to Sanny Builder. You script this: Pick-up at Grove Street: set data pedgrp.dat and cargrp.dat. Pick-up at West Beach: set data pedgrp2.dat and cargrp2.dat. Pick-up Ballas House that you go to with Ryder in a mission to kill Ballas with a baseball bat: set data pedgrp3.dat and cargrp3.dat.

i can but is the whole ship one object or is it created out of several different objects?
and if it's one object where can i find it when i open MEd?

You can search for the object and place it where you want it but it's easier and quicker if you know the name or ID of the object[s] your placing

i've got a little problem with the .lod file. how can i search for .lod files as there is no "find" option like in IPL or IDE ?

Searching and placing objects work the same with LOD objects, did you save the IPL file after placing the objects?
Also it is best to place new objects in the IPL file of the scene so if you render countryW.IPL then it's best to place objects in countryW.IPL and remember to save after you finish

hey i need a mod like the cars on water cheat in vice city for san andreas but to be activated automatically when the player's vehicle touches water and to be deactivated automatically when your vehicle is on surface (road, etc.) PLS I REALLY NEED A MOD LIKE THAT 'CAUSE IN ALL THE MODS THAT I FOUND YOU HAVE TO PRESS A BUTTON TO ACTIVATE/DEACTIVATE :/

but why cant u directly import textures to LOADSCS
